WHY KICKSTART EXISTS.
Kickstart uses football as the reason young people stay in school—a structured development environment that keeps children enrolled and engaged while building skill, fitness, discipline, teamwork, confidence and responsibility.

FOOTBALL CAN TEACH MORE THAN FOOTBALL.
Kickstart is built around a simple idea: school football becomes more valuable when it is structured. Instead of isolated training sessions, players should experience age-appropriate coaching, consistent development objectives, competition, feedback and a clear sense of progression.
The initiative is designed to work with schools rather than compete with them—bringing football expertise into the school environment during agreed extracurricular, after-school or activity periods.
USE FOOTBALL TO KEEP KIDS IN SCHOOL.
Kickstart is a schools-based initiative first and a football programme second. The sport is the hook — the goal is to give children a reason to stay enrolled, keep attending and stay engaged in their education, while developing technical ability, physical coordination, game understanding and the personal habits that support growth.
A CLEARER PATHWAY THROUGH SCHOOLS.
To help more schools use football as a tool against dropout and disengagement — giving young players accessible opportunities to learn, compete and progress, and giving schools a practical way to keep children in the classroom. Final official mission and vision wording should be approved by Kickstart management before launch.
WHAT THE BADGE SHOULD STAND FOR.
Discipline
Prepare well, listen, work and respect the process.
Development
Focus on better habits and better decisions, not shortcuts.
Respect
Respect teammates, opponents, coaches, officials and schools.
Teamwork
Football rewards players who can contribute to something bigger.
Opportunity
Help players access the next appropriate challenge when ready.
PLAY. LEARN. GROW.
Sessions should be active, demanding and enjoyable. Coaches explain enough to create understanding, then give players repeated opportunities to make decisions with the ball, teammates and opponents.
Play
Football is the environment. Players need meaningful time on the ball and in games.
Learn
Every activity should connect to a technical, tactical, physical or personal objective.
Grow
Progress is built through repeated habits, feedback, challenge and confidence.
